Accessibility Statement
Last updated: October 24, 2026
SDG (Spiegel Design Group, Inc.) is committed to making www.sdg.la accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. Accessibility is part of how we build, not an afterthought, and we hold our own site to the same standard we deliver for our clients.
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. Our target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We assess and improve the site through automated scans and manual review. This is an ongoing self-assessment, not a formal third-party certification.
How we built it
Accessibility is engineered into the site itself, not added through an overlay or third-party widget. Our approach includes:
- Semantic, well-structured HTML with logical heading order and landmark regions;
- Full keyboard operability, a visible focus indicator, and a skip-to-content link;
- Color contrast that meets or exceeds WCAG 2.2 AA thresholds;
- Descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images and icons;
- Respect for reduced-motion preferences and accessible, pausable media;
- Forms with clear labels, instructions, and error messaging.
How we test
We combine automated tooling with hands-on testing, because automated scanners catch only part of what real users experience. Our release checks scan every published page at desktop and mobile widths using WCAG 2.2 A and AA rules. Manual reviews cover keyboard navigation, accessible names and reading order, contrast, focus, zoom and reflow, reduced motion, and form errors. Automated results do not establish complete conformance or replace testing with people who use assistive technology.
Known limitations
Some interactions include third-party security verification, whose challenge content is outside our direct control. If verification prevents an inquiry, you can contact us by email or phone using the details below. Our decorative background video has a pause control and starts paused on mobile and when reduced motion or data-saving preferences are enabled. If you encounter another barrier, please tell us so we can investigate and address it.
Feedback
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of this site. If you experience any difficulty, or have suggestions, please contact us and we will make every reasonable effort to address the issue promptly:
