The engagement: three brands, three site launches

The Peet’s engagement was not a single-site launch. SDG launched Shopify storefronts for Peet’s Coffee, Stumptown Coffee, and Intelligentsia Coffee, bringing three distinct specialty-coffee brands onto the platform.

Each brand has its own identity, assortment, and relationship with its customers. The scope covered a separate storefront launch for each, not three collections within one Peet’s site.

For Peet’s specifically, SDG’s work also included subscription storefront engineering and Shopify–Microsoft Dynamics integration, connecting the customer-facing experience with the enterprise systems behind the business.

From Magento to Shopify

SDG migrated Peet’s Coffee, Stumptown Coffee, and Intelligentsia Coffee from Magento to Shopify. The three-site launch is part of our experience moving established food, lifestyle, and retail brands off legacy commerce platforms.

For a recurring-purchase business, the storefront is more than a campaign destination. The commerce foundation needs to support customers who already know what they want alongside those browsing the assortment for the first time.

A storefront built around recurring purchase

SDG engineered Peet’s subscription commerce experience around that familiar purchase rhythm. The brand and the product stay at the center, while the storefront supports the relationship beyond a single order.

That combination is the relevant food-and-beverage challenge: making an established product experience work as connected digital commerce, without treating the recurring customer as a new acquisition on every visit.

Connected to the enterprise

SDG also delivered Shopify–Microsoft Dynamics integration work for Peet’s. This is the operational counterpart to the storefront: commerce needs to connect with the systems the business already uses, rather than becoming an isolated destination.

The engagement brings together the three parts of SDG’s role: a legacy-platform migration, a customer experience built around subscriptions, and enterprise integration. It is the same connected view we bring to other food and beverage commerce programs.
