Overview

Drake Related brings Drake's ventures and cultural world together in one digital destination. SDG built the Shopify site as an artistic, shoppable recreation of his Toronto home, The Embassy, where products live inside scenes rather than a conventional catalog grid.

The result is a commerce experience designed for fandom: editorial, exploratory, and ready to turn cultural moments into product drops.

The challenge

The concept demanded more than a themed storefront. Products had to feel native to the environment while the operating team needed to launch time-sensitive merchandise quickly and preserve a seamless customer journey.

  • Translate a recognizable physical world into an intuitive shoppable experience.
  • Support frequent, time-sensitive drops without rebuilding the storefront for each launch.
  • Keep editorial exploration connected to a clear path to purchase.
  • Extend the experience into live events while keeping access exclusive to fans on the ground.

The solution

SDG engineered the immersive Shopify storefront that gives Drake Related its distinctive digital language and turns the rooms of The Embassy into an explorable merchandising system.

  • Products merchandised inside a digital recreation of The Embassy.
  • A flexible foundation for exclusive, time-sensitive merchandise drops.
  • An experience that moves cleanly from visual storytelling to product detail and checkout.
  • Shop-powered, geo-gated QR experiences that connected arena audiences to exclusive products without custom campaign code.

Results & impact

A Shop activation during Drake's North American tour generated millions of social views while giving concertgoers exclusive merchandise access.

The experience shows the value of a storefront built as a cultural platform rather than a static shop: the environment stays recognizable while the products and fan moments keep changing.
